Holdbar

Holdbar was founded by two experienced tourism and hospitality tech entrepreneurs. Version 1 of Holdbar was ready in May 2023, and we have since gained a lot of traction, which has further fueled our ambition and confidence in the huge market opportunity, that we are tapping into with Holdbar.

About the job

Reporting to the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in a startup company, where we show good traction and expect to grow rapidly. You will take on the responsibility of building a world class finance function that can support our growth scenario.

You will have a broad range of tasks and responsibility and ensure that the company has the right tools and systems to optimize financial management and be a close sparring partner for the CEO. You enjoy working both on a strategic level as well as being operational – responsibilities will include:

• Financial strategy, management, and planning
• Reporting to stakeholders
• KPI framework, tracking and reporting
• Leading our external bookkeeping partner
• Budgets, scenario planning and financial modeling
• Liquidity planning
• Input and modelling of pricing strategy
• Participation in investor meetings
• HR administration
• Internal compliance policy/GDPR

You will be working closely with the founder team and the external bookkeeper and establish and develop a small financial team at a later stage. You are not only responsible for the financial reporting being accurate and compliant, but you are also able to use your financial insights to challenge the business on performance improvements.

Due to the fast growth of the company, the position is expected to change over time with interesting tasks and new opportunities for the right candidate.

What we are looking for – Ambitious finance profile with SaaS-experience

Holdbar is looking for a focused, analytical, and dedicated person to take this leading role with energy, and drive. Most likely, you hold a Cand.merc. focusing on finance or a similar education, and you have several years of experience working in a similar role in a SaaS-based start- or scale up. Maybe you have started your career in an audit firm, CFO-services or similar, and you want to play an active and operational role in a dynamic environment. If you have experience working with VC-funds, that would be an additional advantage. No matter your specific background, you have already proven that you are able to dive into relevant details, gain an overview and deliver results. As a person you are energetic, quality focused, able to prioritize, professional and able to deliver results in a dynamic and sometimes hectic environment.
