Struers has close customer relationships established worldwide with leading industrial companies, prestigious universities, and respected research institutions. You will become a part of our Danish headquarters in Ballerup, where we have 200+ employees. Struers takes pride in delivering high-quality solutions while working in an informal environment. For the headquarters in Ballerup, we are seeking for a new role a:

Supply Chain Development Manager

Do you want to use your experiences to make an impact on your tasks, have some influence – and not least, create results together with a great team? And do you want to utilize your toolbox within Lean, production flows, analysis, and project management in a global role? Then this challenge at Struers might suit you very well.

With a reporting line to the global Supply Chain Director, you will be responsible for optimizing global end-to-end flows, and in this role, you will ensure that customer needs are reflected in the design of the supply chain as well as in production flows. This requires close collaboration with, for example, planning, tactical buyers, Inventory, global production management, and the owner of the ERP system. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting detailed analyses, identifying root causes, collecting data (qualitative and quantitative), and providing recommendations to the management for solutions. However, you will also need to subsequently implement your recommendations as projects and actively facilitate, lead, and ensure resources for project execution. You will be in close proximity to the top management of Operations, thereby having the opportunity to carry out your recommendations.

Other tasks include:

  • Working with Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Developing the Kanban system – including boards and cards
  • Process owner of the production module in the ERP system

You will be successful in this role if you can create a good overview and implement new processes that create better flows. Additionally, it will also be a success criterion if you can gain better control over Kanban and establish an even better match between production processes and the ERP system.

Your Experience and Skills

You are probably currently in a similar role where you can work in production, planning, or supply chain, focusing on creating flows, identifying causes of problems, and establishing better processes in a global supply chain. You have an academic background such as engineering or a Master’s in Supply Chain Management, and you have experience working with LEAN, production planning, and Material Requirements Planning (MRP). You are familiar with the principles of Kaizen, VSM, Kanban, and perhaps even single-piece flow production. It would be advantageous if you have experience in project management.

As an individual, you are analytical, data-driven, patient, and persistent, but you also have a hands-on side. You are known for getting things done. You are proactive and results-oriented, and you enjoy having a broad interface with many stakeholders. You are a team player who is empathetic and attentive, while also being capable of conveying your message on both operational and strategic levels.

Why is this position attractive?

Struers is a market-leading global company, financially sound and resilient with strong ownership. You’ll have the opportunity to work for a global manufacturing company, where you can influence and develop your part of the organization. You will hold a broad and significant role in a company undergoing change, and we promise lots of professional challenges and fun with colleagues. We have a culture of helping each other across functions, and we are always eager to improve. We have an informal and flat structure, and we focus on providing the best solutions for our customers.
