In this position, you will play a vital role in ensuring the enduring significance, sustainability, and competitive edge of our products.

Your Challenges

Joining us at our offices in Brædstrup, you will report directly to Senior Director of Technology Portfolio and Exploration, Anne Kathrine Laursen. Your responsibility will be to build business cases that assess the potential for valuable integration of new technology into our upcoming product launches. You’ll evaluate how these technologies can benefit our products, customers, and create sustained value for our business. Working closely with departments like Product Management, Engineering, and Product Development, you’ll identify pathways to the global market for the new technologies, develop value propositions, and facilitate senior management discussions and workshops. You’ll be involved throughout the entire process. From creating the business case, investments, assessment of in- or outsourcing, Intellectual Property Analysis, to technology maturation and Preliminary Testing – all the way to incorporating the new technology into our new product range.

More specifically, you will:

  • Support cross-functional strategic priorities and develop proposals for tactical plans and roadmaps
  • Develop communication material to upper management and key stakeholders
  • Facilitate change across the organization through clear and actionable recommendations and unambiguous communication, e.g. to anchor new material technology in the product development organization
  • Ensure buy-in and support from key stakeholders
  • Enable data-driven decisions and facilitate continued process improvement and change

In this role, your focus will be on building business cases, maturing technologies, and ensuring the successful implementation of them into various parts of our product range. The emphasis is on materials such as glass, polymers (plastics, rubber, graphite, adhesives, paint), and metals. You will collaborate with another team that scouts and qualifies new technologies. You will achieve success in this role when your recommended new technologies are integrated into our products and become a successful part of our growth.

You should expect approx. 20 days of travelling per year.

Your Qualifications

You hold a Master’s degree with a commercial focus, such as economics, business administration, accounting, or social sciences. Alternatively, you might have an engineering degree and have effectively applied your technical expertise in a commercial context. Your professional journey includes some years of hands-on experience in the business realm, where you’ve engaged with new business prospects and contributed to the development of business cases. This experience may have been gained within larger corporations, management consulting, strategic roles, or even technology scouting in innovative environments. Your skill set encompasses project management capabilities, budget oversight, planning, risk assessment, and stakeholder coordination.

As an individual, you epitomize proactivity and a ‘can-do, will-do’ attitude. Your commercial mindset, coupled with analytical acumen and inquisitiveness, equips you to proficiently explore and evaluate novel technological business avenues. Crafting early-stage business cases and creating compelling communication materials for senior management’s decision-making process is second nature to you. You are adept at navigating the strategic landscape and approach challenges with a holistic perspective, keeping sight of both long-term business gains and immediate victories.

Your adaptability and strong communication skills enable you to convey key messages effectively and wield influence over stakeholders at all levels, ranging from Senior VPs to project contributors.
