Consolidation & Accounting

Based in our Headquarter in Horsens, we are looking for a competent Head of Group Reporting to join our team, as we aspire to be the front-runners in activities related to financial reporting and accounting across the DOVISTA Group.

Your responsibilities

As Head of Group Reporting, you will become a key player in consolidating the financials for monthly and year end closing, and lead the completion and improvements of annual and monthly reporting. To do so you will work closely with all finance departments and senior management supporting the continued development of our reporting, consolidation and accounting.

You will, together with your team, ensure that the monthly reporting is data driven providing relevant accounting insights for our senior management team. You will be responsible for all of our closing processes together with our regional responsible, and take the process ownership of that together with our financial, reporting and compliance team. Together with our external audit team you will make a timeline for our hard close and year end closing. Besides that, you will support the implementation of a compliant ESG reporting framework, including robust and auditable standards to enable credible external ESG reporting.

Other tasks:

  • Build a strong and competent team with clear roles and responsibilities supporting a growing and complex organisation
  • Act as subject-matter expert on accounting questions for the rest of the organisation
  • Support in M&A processes
  • Give input to the audit committee
  • Work closely together with our owner, VKR Holding, about the process for monthly and year-end closing and the treasury agenda
  • Analysis of internal financial accounting information regarding e.g., P/L, Cashflow and Balance Sheet
  • Participate in key finance transformation projects

Your qualifications

You bring to the position a relevant theoretical education, and you combine your theoretical background with at least 5-10 years of relevant work experience in larger manufacturing organizations, where you have in-depth experience with accounting and reporting. Another track to this position could be experience as an accountant working with larger manufacturing companies.  In this role, you will need the ability to work across borders and cultures, converting data and information into insights creating value for the business. You have previous experience as a manager or team manager, and you have a strong business understanding and sophisticated verbal and written communication skills.

Our ERP landscape is diverse and results from our recent acquisitions, but the core systems are our newly implemented S/4HANA consolidation and reporting SAP ERP and SAP/SAC.

You have a high proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and other relevant management tools. The role also requires you to be fully proficient in spoken and written English.

On a more personal level, you organise and manage your tasks with considerable initiative, impact and structure. You have high-level communications skills (visual as well) and are organised and disciplined in meeting your deadlines. You are ambitious and empathetic and listen to and understand stakeholders in different countries. You challenge the status quo when you see opportunities for creating better business results. You have good leadership skills and enjoy being around your team and seeing them excel, creating respect among the stakeholders. You are ready to travel to the extend needed to support your role (expected maximum 30 days in a year).
