Lead Systems Consultant – SAP FI/CO

Are you an experienced SAP FI/CO consultant? And would you like to contribute to the development and support of finance solutions in a global growth company? In this position you will be the solution owner of the global processes and systems within Finance and Controlling. Your team is a vital part of the SAP Business Solution teams which consists of approx. 20 internal solution consultants and developers. The team corporate cross-border and are located in Denmark, Germany and Poland.

Your responsibilities

As our new Lead Systems Consultant, it is your role to understand the business processes and business requirements, and transform these into robust solutions based on your SAP knowledge. You will be involved throughout the whole process from ideas to design, configuration, test and roll out to the companies in the group as well as subsequent application support and maintenance. In this process you will focus on building and maintaining solid relationships with all levels in the finance organisation – from SVP level to specialists. Your closest stakeholders will be the Group Finance function, the finance function in the regions and the master data team.

On a day-to-day basis, you act as a business consultant, while you:

  • Recommend and build our global solutions to support the overall business goals and needs
  • Collaborate with the business, listening to needs, handling change requests, discussing SAP best practice and use these inputs to choose between existing solutions or design new when applicable
  • Participate in the implementation of new solutions and changes across Business Units
  • Support the ways of working, processes and systems
  • Help to automate as many processes as possible – on the short term we have i.e. focus on accounts payable

We have a ECC 6.0 configuration based on a S/4 HANA database, and within a foreseeable future we will be looking into a full implementation of S/4 HANA.

Your qualifications

You bring to the position a relevant theoretical education, and you combine your theoretical background with at least 5 years of relevant work experience in larger organizations where you have in-depth experience with SAP FI/CO. You have in-depth functional and technical knowledge in the design of an E2E value flow in relation to a business process, and you have experience in facilitating workshops to collect business requirements. In this role, you will need the ability to work across borders and cultures. You like to participate in large projects and designing the application, but you also appreciate working independently with smaller development tasks.

On a more personal level, you organize and manage your tasks with considerable initiative, impact and structure. You have high level communications skills and are organized and disciplined in implementing projects and support tasks. You are ambitious and empathetic, and spend time on listing to and understanding the stakeholders in the different countries.  You challenge status quo when you see opportunities for creating better business results. You are ready to travel to the extend needed to support and implement SAP FI/CO changes in the business units (expected maximum 30 days in a year).
