International Product Manager for Flat Roof Windows – VELUX Commercial

Your challenges
In this role, you will join our VELUX Commercial Portfolio & Product Management team dedicated to managing and developing the global product offering within VELUX Commercial. The Product Management team consists of 7 professional colleagues located in the Netherlands and Denmark. You will be based at our office in Hørsholm, Denmark.

As Product Manager for the Flat Roof Category within VELUX Commercial, you will play a key role in the growth as you will be responsible for a range of relevant and profitable solutions designed to meet the needs of key decision makers within the construction industry.

Your areas of responsibility include:
• Developing area strategy and short/long term plan for product category
• Developing and maintaining an attractive product portfolio, with strong value propositions and ideal positioning
• Proposing a roadmap to secure further development and deployment of product category, aligning with R&D and Sales who you will build strong relations with
• Acting as the voice of the customer in R&D projects, preparing and validating business cases and organising customer input throughout the stage gate-based development process
• Implementing regular pruning of the portfolio to secure a continuously optimised product category • Coordinating product launch activities with R&D, Supply, Marketing and other key functions
• Developing value proposition and product messaging, driving preparation of relevant sales material.
• Securing market and customer insights, collecting input from local markets and engage with key target groups to identify trends and customer needs, turning these into requirements for R&D
• Monitoring launch- and portfolio sales performance and engaging with sales units to identify actions to enable improvement

You can expect to travel approx. 25 days per year.

Your qualifications
We expect that you have:
• A relevant master’s degree, engineering/commercial
• Ideally +5 years of experience from an international Product Management role with documented results
• An understanding of the commercial elements of product management, including customer value propositions and product positioning
• Strong command of written and spoken English and preferably Danish, German will be a benefit
• A proactive mindset, the ability to inspire others and you master stakeholder management
• The ability to define a clear vision, look beyond the immediate difficulties and see things from a broad perspective
• A goal-oriented approach, you are driven by achieving results together with others
• Strong communication skills – you communicate in a clear, inspiring, fluent and precise manner
• The ability to establish and maintain relations with people at all levels, you are good at developing and maintaining networks
