IFRS & Governance Senior Manager 

Become IFRS Technical Lead in global listed manufacturing company

About the role

We are hiring an IFRS & Governance Senior Manager for our Global Reporting and Finance team. The post-holder will lead and drive the governance of technical accounting and project governance. You become part of the ongoing finance transformation to develop standardization, optimization of key finance processes and enhance the reporting. You engage as a Business Partner with multiple stakeholders around the organization and provide sparring and advice. Your daily tasks and responsibilities counts:

  • Provide global oversight of technical accounting policies
  • Participate in ensuring that financial information is timely, accurate, complete and compliant with IFRS
  • Advise on complex accounting matters and changes of standards and review contracts on IFRS implications
  • Engage with the Sustainability Group and lead the assessment of environmental, social and governance implications to the Group
  • Drive change and contribute to maintaining a high standard of reporting quality
  • Lead the different stakeholders in the finance function and M&A regarding IFRS implications
  • Collaborate on design, implementation and review finance systems, policies and procedures to ensure continuous improvement and contemporary relevant practices and accounting documentation
  • Support the SVP Group Reporting & Finance in managing the Group audit.

You report to the SVP Group Reporting & Finance. Hybrid and flexible working is ingrained into our culture, this permanent role offers a mix of office and home working.

About you

You are highly motivated, experienced, and independent IFRS Expert with a strong hands-on mentality. You appreciate a lively and demanding working environment and you are happy to be part of a fast-paced motivated team. In addition, you have:

  • Successfully completed business studies with a focus on accounting, finance and/or controlling
  • At least 8 years of experience in accounting with a strong focus on IFRS either with a large audit firm or with an international company
  • Profound knowledge of IFRS and other GAAP related reporting requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Being able to work independently
  • Driven and solution-oriented
  • Analytical thinking, hands-on mentality and being flexible
  • IT affinity: excellent MS Office skills – good knowledge of SAP FI/CO and experience with Hyperion is an advantage
