Solution Architect

As Windchill RV&S Solution Architect, you will join the Tools & Applications department consisting of 7 dedicated colleagues in Denmark and collaborating with a 3rd party offshore team handling the Application Operations management. We are responsible for the VELUX Group having a stable and well-performing PLM and CAD platform – and your area of responsibility will be our Windchill Requirement, Validation & Source platform.

Your challenges

As our new Solution Architect, you are able to extract the essence of the business needs and propose system solutions that will support these needs and at the same time ensuring the systems supports the end-to-end business processes optimally.

As we are embarking on a digital product journey, you will act as sounding board to the business users and management team on how we should connect the dots to ensure the system is enabled for the future needs, while simultaneously setup to be as streamlined and user friendly as possible for today’s needs.

You will join the VELUX PLM architect forum where you will ensure alignment across systems and strive for synergies between systems – e.g. connecting requirement and validation with the CAD data or making data from different sources available in new ways for the right people.

Other tasks and responsibilities:

  • Assist managing our 3rd party AO setup on a day-to-day basis and set direction for the application infrastructure, development resources and performance monitoring
  • Have the overall responsibility for documentation of the Operations setup for Windchill RV&S
  • Support with relevant training – create and execute training material
  • Lead on upgrades and upgrade plans / defining annual wheels
  • Be a trusted advisor for the business stakeholders and solution consultants and communicate the value that the application drives
  • You will work closely together in our governance flow with System Process Owners, Key Users, Business Process Owners and Subject Matter Experts

The team is based in Østbirk and you must be able to be onsite at least on average 1 day/ biweekly. You can expect to travel approximately 5-10 days annually to other locations – both nationally and internationally.

Your qualifications

You have experience and process knowledge from the Product Development area including knowledge about Requirement Management from Eco-systems level to material level and across mechanical, electrical and software requirements. You have experience from a similar role or as a System Process Owner or System engineer where you have been working with Windchill RV&S or a similar Application Lifecycle Management system such as Siemens Teamwork, Dassault, JIRA or SAP PLM.

You have a proven track record of designing and implementing end-to-end IT processes supporting the business needs and maintaining them.

As you will work in a matrix organisation you have great stakeholder management skill, making you capable to communicate with many different stakeholders at different levels – from the IT technician to the business manager. As you will be working in an international environment but based in Denmark, we expect that you speak and write English as well as Danish at a professional level.
