Product Category Lead
Product development – commercial skills

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated product category lead, who would like to work with complex product development cases creating sustainable and valuable growth for DOVISTA. This is the rare opportunity to join a team who are under constant development, and strives to work closely and effectively with stakeholders ensuring the strategic goals and objectives of the project portfolio.
You will be the lead of a value stream managing product development projects. You will be responsible for the whole stage gate process from business case to market launch. The team is newly established and you will play an integral role in establishing best practice and work routines to raise the bar for project management in product management. You will drive the product strategy and the annual prioritization process, and will be responsible for consolidating the road maps across product categories.
You will communicate and engage with stakeholders on all levels to ensure the necessary support to carry out the agreed and prioritized portfolio., and anchor the commitment in concordance between what goes on in the project and the relevant expectations and opportunities. You will deliver all elements of the process including planning, governance, risk control, change management, process facilitation and management of senior stakeholders.
Further tasks will be:
- Facilitates the overall working of the product category team which includes resources from R&D, Operations, Quality, Procurement, Sales and Finance
- Create transparency into performance allowing the product category team to take appropriate actions
- Tracks and take initiative to drive product categories as a business, incl. proposals to top-down targets aligned with the strategy, and measuring margin, cost-out, and volume to maximize long term value creation
- Lead a diverse team from different functions and drive high standards across the team using effective coaching and mentoring methods
- Milestone planning and risk mitigation
Who are you?
You bring to the position a relevant bachelor or master’s degree in Economics, Engineering or similar, and you combine your theoretical background with at least 5-10 years of relevant work experience in larger organizations. Besides being a highly skilled product manager, your experience also includes working with project management, process improvements, budgeting and team development. You will typically have experience from a similar position as project manager or product manager working in a technical environment. You have excellent communication skills and a high proficiency in excel, PowerPoint and other relevant project management tools. The role also requires you to be fully proficient in English.
On a more personal level, you organize and manage the development projects with considerable initiative and structure. You act as an entrepreneur, and run your projects as a small business and you are seen as a business leader and an innovator of new ideas and processes. You can motivate your team working towards a common goal and have an analytical approach.
