This is VELUX Emerging Technologies.
Right now, we are looking for a wood expert with focus on enhancing wood properties, who wants to take the responsibility for the development of new wood types and wood treatments, including surface finish for low maintenance or coating combined with experience within processing of wood, to ensure that VELUX products will keep their long life expectancy while being sustainable. Furthermore, you have a strong drive to achieve great results through cross-organisational collaboration, and you dare to challenge the status quo through argumentation, testing and listening. You have strong communication skills, experience in handling stakeholders and thrive in the field between theory and actual implementation of technologies.
You are desired to have a chemical or material science education as scientist and/or engineer within wood and wood treatment, minimum master grade or higher. You have worked in a research and development environment, applied-/corporate research experience is a plus, and you have experience in working with focus on wood as a construction material, other R&D experience is accepted if related to wood. You have a profound network within relevant industry such as university, institutes, chemical industry, wood industry, manufacturing, etc.
In addition to being part of a very skilled team working with some of the newest emerging technologies at VELUX centre of ET, at their location in Brædstrup (in driving range from Aarhus), while operating at a highly professional level. You will find a vibrant culture based on curiosity, thoroughness, mutual respect and a strong commitment. We work as one team to reach our ambitious goals and change the future of building materials.
