Job description:

As VP Global SCM & Global NPI, you are member of the GOPS Senior Leadership Team and you will therefore provide an active role in developing the strategy for Global Operations. You will be overall responsible for securing that we are working according to agreed principles, methods and applying the tools associated herewith and deliver the jointly agreed business results for Global Operations based on holistic view and the benefit for the company as a whole. Finally you will pro-actively reaching out, aligning and supporting peers in Global Operations as a support function. With reference to the company´s COO, you will lead an organization of approx. 25 people, located in Denmark, Poland and India.

As VP, Global SCM & Global NPI your overall role and responsibilities are:

  • Strategy development and strategy implementation in the Global Supply Chain & Global NPI
  • Manage the Global Supply Chain in accordance with business targets
  • Securing a strong cooperation with the manufacturing plants and Global Operations support functions plus key stakeholders including SCU and Finance
  • Global Supply Chain Excellence with a harmonized way of working across manufacturing plants
  • Continuous development of people, systems and processes
  • Develop strategy and set direction for the Global Supply Chain to adapt to customer needs and needs from the global manufacturing plants
  • Management and implementation of strategy for the Global Supply Chain.
  • Ensure high performance in accordance with KPIs
  • Develop and manage the Global Supply Chain business cases and budgets in coordination with the financial controllers
  • Ensure a proactive and innovative approach within supply chain services to the global manufacturing plants promoting the use of a strong digitalization platform
  • Ensure world class efficiency and performance compared to industry peers
  • Ensure a strong support to Global Manufacturing so that productivity improvement can be achieved yearly
  • Develop and drive the Global NPI activities
  • Develop and drive the Global Operational Excellence activities including Supply Chain architecture
  • Develop and drive the Global Supply Chain function ensuring a high performance by all in the organization

Key tasks and priorities:

Out of the overall role and priorities, derive the following key task for the new VP, Global Supply Chain Management & NPI:

  • Strategy development and strategy implementation in the Global Supply Chain
  • Manage the Global Supply Chain and Global NPI in accordance with business targets
  • Global Supply Chain Excellence with a harmonized way of working across manufacturing sites
  • Continuous development of people, systems and processes
  • Develop strategy and set direction for the Global Supply Chain to adapt to customer needs and needs from the global manufacturing plants
  • Be a role model for the entire staff
  • Ability to motivate all employees with different backgrounds and cultures in a global context

Professional competencies:

The VP of Global SCM & Global NPI must have a minimum of 6-8 years of experience in a SCM leadership role, at least 5 years of experience within development of Supply Chain & Manufacturing concepts and strategies and at least 3 years of experience in a production manager or similar role. It is helpful for candidates to have at least 5 years of experience in a global senior leadership role working with executive management in a global organization. The VP of Global SCM & Global NPI must have a high drive and ability to convert strategy into action.

The candidate must demonstrate outstanding leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

The relevant candidate holds as a minimum a bachelor’s degree within supply chain and a business degree (e.g. MBA) combined with a technical background is welcomed (production of Electrical Power Systems, Energy Systems or similar).

Personal competencies:

In order to be successful in this role, you must possess strong leadership skills and have a proactive mindset and be very good at communication. Your energy level is high and you have a high personal drive. Communication is central and key to success in this role, i.e. you must be able to create holistic and easy understandable presentations.

Your place of work will be in Ikast, but as you are responsible for a global organization, you are expected to travel 50-80 days per year primarily to Poland and India.
