M&A Business Development Manager
VKR Holding is looking for a competent and experienced M&A Business Development Manager to be part of a team focused on acquiring and developing companies and new business areas within the VKR Group as well as contributing to the overall group strategy.
As our M&A Business Development Manager, you will be part of the Corporate Strategy team working with M&A activities, strategy and support through analysis and business development at group level. You will report to the Head of Corporate Strategy and, furthermore, have close collaboration with management within VKR Holding and our business areas.
You are expected to drive your assignments independently and report and present these at executive level.
Your primary tasks will be as follows:
- Lead the acquisition process from A-Z with assistance from both internal and external specialists within accounting, legal matters, tax etc.
- Define scope of work for work streams in the due diligence process
- Use your network to identify and mature possible acquisition targets
- Indicate valuation range of a target through different valuation methods and derived valuation effects due to closing mechanisms
- Prepare decision material and business cases to the board
- Contribute to the development of our M&A toolbox and the business development competencies
- Contribute to a potential Corporate Venture Capital set-up in VKR Holding
- On ad hoc basis, support the business areas in various strategic projects
Please expect 10-20 travel days yearly, abroad as well as some days within Denmark.
You may have an educational background as Master of Science in Economics or similar, and through previous jobs have acquired M&A skills and experience. You have a solid understanding of the M&A process itself and your M&A toolbox is comprehensive. Your experience may have been achieved in a Corporate Strategy/M&A department, investment banking, or from a management consultant position, where you have been part of various acquisitions or divestment processes.
You are analytically and professionally proficient, and you can communicate with people on different levels. You have a commercial mindset combined with a strong financial understanding.
Presumably, you have 3+ years of experience within M&A, business development or business operations –possibly accompanied by other work experience.
You are a superuser of Excel and PowerPoint and have excellent presentation and argumentation skills.

You easily create and sustain good relations to your colleagues and business partners, and you can solve problems independently, while cooperating and sharing knowledge and information. You have an understanding of different situations and scenarios. You are fluent in English both written and spoken; German language skills are an advantage.
