Drive steel sales activities in France, Belgium and Luxembourg

The steel business accounts for app. 80% of the revenue of RHI Magnesita who is a leading player in the market with the broadest range of materials, products and services and provides the most advanced solution sales in the business.

RHI Magnesita is a well know and recognized brand within steel manufacturers. The job is 70-80% maintaining and developing existing business and 20-30% hunting new business. The sales differ a lot in size and the yearly expected sales revenue is app. Euro 12-15m.

Internally you interact with your sales colleagues, Quotation / Pricing, Commercial Management / Customer Service, Engineering, Technical Marketing, Product Management, Supply Chain, Finance and others. Your stake holders at the client side varies depending on the kind of company. It can be Plant Management, Technical Management, Operational Management, Procurement, Engineering or similar.

Your sales area is within France, Belgium and Luxembourg and you can work out of a home office based up to around 3 to 4 hours drive from the town Valenciennes in northern France where RHI Magnesita has a production plant or in the proximity of Luxembourg.

Sales Manager with experience from steel related business

You have some years’ experience driving sales within one of the following businesses: refractory, steel, glass, cement, ceramics, insulation, fiber, chemical or similar kinds of heavy industry. You have a degree in Engineering and a good technical understanding which makes you able to interact at a level equivalent to your client. If you know nothing about refractory products don’t worry – we will teach you everything you need to know.

Further the right candidate holds the following personal traits and skills – you:

  • Are a natural hunter that goes the extra mile to reach your sales target and you thrive being on the road, visiting and interacting with your clients

  • Are great at establishing relationships and being a trusted advisor

  • Think out of the box and excel at finding new ways at developing your business

  • Are a true team player who shares victories, experiences and challenges with fellow colleagues

  • Speak and write French and English at a high level. German is an advantage but not a requirement
